Iranian Teachers in Several Cities Hold Simultaneous Protests
On Sunday, teachers in at least 20 cities across Iran joined
a countrywide rally to protest against the Iranian regime’s lack of response to
their many demands.
Iranian teachers have been regularly protesting for their
rights, especially in the past year as different segments of the Iranian
society have been protesting against economic woes, government corruption and
lack of political freedom.
Spokesman Confirms News of Hardline Raisi's Appointment as
Judiciary Chief
The spokesperson for Iran Regime's Judiciary has confirmed
that hardline cleric Ebrahim Raisi, 57, will be Iran's next Judiciary Chief,
replacing Sadeq Amoli Larijani.
Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei, told Iranian media on Sunday that
he will continue to work with the Judiciary under Raisi.
Raisi was one of the main judges that sentenced thousands of
political prisoners to death in Iran in 1988.
Female Political Prisoners Subjected to Inhuman Treatment in
Iran
In line with the cruel and inhumane behavior towards female
political prisoners in Iran, Evin Prison authorities prevented the transfer of
political prisoner Atena Daemi for medical tests and medical care.
Political prisoner Atena Daemi has long been suffering from
persistent dizziness and numbness in the right eye area. The medical physician
in Qarchak Prison had requested an MRI for her in May 2018, but she has not
been transferred to the hospital for these tests and examinations. Also, the
judicial official supervising the prison has not accepted her family’s request
for a visit for a long time, and they have not been able to get permission to
transfer Atena to the hospital.
Over 14,000 People Killed in Traffic Accidents in Iran Over
Past 10 Months
During ten months of this Iranian year (started on March 21,
2018) 14,600 people were killed in road traffic accidents, Trend reports
referring to the Iranian Association of Medical Expertise's 10-month report.
During the reporting period, 315,000 people were injured.
In total, the number of people killed in road traffic
accidents increased by 0.8 percent, while the number of injured - by 9.8
percent compared to the same period of last Iranian year.
Iran: Senior Regime Insider Acknowledges 1988 Massacre
Mostafa Pourmohammadi,
former judiciary minister in the cabinet of Hassan Rouhani, President of the
mullahs’ regime in Iran, has acknowledged his crimes during the horrendous
summer 1988 massacre of over 30,000 political prisoners.
Pourmohammadi said in a state TV interview on Friday night:
“This is an active case. This dossier is now very much alive and the enemy has
invested on this issue. And now, discussing this matter would be playing into
the enemy’s hands. That is why I haven’t talked about this subject.
He was referring to the publication of a tape of remarks made
back in 1988 by Grand Ayatollah Hossein Ali Montazeri, the then successor of
regime founder Ruhollah Khomeini, who criticized the regime’s genocide in
prisons throughout the country.
