WHO ARE THE MEK? PART 2

WHO ARE THE MEK? PART 2 In this part, we will learn about the Regime’s attempts to destroy the MEK. The majority of people across the world recognise that the Iranian Regime is a violent, totalitarian, dictatorship with no respect for the rights of its people or the rest of the world. However, those people wrongly claim that the Iranian Regime has no viable alternative and that it is, therefore, acceptable to continue doing business with them. The thing is that the Regime has a viable alternative in the form of the oldest, largest, and most popular resistance organization in Iran, which has fought two separate regimes since it was founded in 1965. That is the People’s Mojahedin of Iran ( PMOI/MEK ). In order to help you earn more about the MEK, we have created an in-depth series. In this part, we will give you a brief overview of the MEK’s history. The MEK was founded by three Iranian engineers in September 1965, who believed that Islam is a modern, tolerant, and de...

Khomeini’s evil precedents in Iran 40 year legacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran

Khomeini’s evil precedents in Iran 40 year legacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran The founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ruhollah Khomeini, has set many cruel precedents in Iran. Many of his so-called teachings are still being carried out today and according to one scholar, staying faithful to Khomeini’s ideology has been the litmus test for all political activity in Iran in the last 40 years. Therefore, despite dying only ten years after the founding of his tyrannical regime, one can draw the conclusion that the 40 years of death, destruction and corruption are his legacy. Before the revolution Sayyid Ruhollah Mūsavi Khomeini was born on September 24, 1902 and died on June 1989 at the age of 87. Known as a religious leader or marjah before the revolution, Khomeini refused to use his religious authority to oppose the coup against the pro-democracy government of Iranian Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh or the Shah’s crackdown on dissent which led to co...

Most executions were carried out in public after the victims were asked a few questions without the possibility to defend themselves. Iran’s “hanging judge”, Sadegh Khalkhali was responsible for the execution of more than 8,000 men and women including Iranian Kurds. First from right, Sadegh Khalkhali known as Iran’s “Hanging Judge”. Third from the right, Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder and Supreme Leader of Iran. “If my victims were to come back on earth, I would execute them again, wit...
OPINION: AFTER 40 YEARS, IRAN IS NO  CLOSER TO ‘MODERATION’ Lord Anthony Clarke | Former Chairman, U.K. Labour Party In February 1979, the people of Iran threw off the rule of one dictator, only to watch as religious extremists installed another. Ayatollah Khomeini’s rise to power had far-reaching consequences for the Iranian people and for much of the world. The 40th anniversary of the Iranian Revolution represents an important opportunity to examine those consequences and reassess collective approaches to dealing with the regime and helping its people. In recent years, there has been talk of a trend toward “moderation” among Iran’s leadership. But even more recently, the Trump administration has turned sharply away from the former praise of Rouhani and his associates. Last May, the United States withdrew from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Despite the International Atomic Energy Agency saying Iran was generally in compliance with it...

Forgotten Summer Of 1988

Forgotten Summer Of 1988 More than 30,000 political prisoners were executed in Iran in less than three months in the forgotten summer of 1988. Many of these prisoners were serving their prison terms and many of them had finished serving their time. Feeling threatened by the dissent against his absolute rule, less than 10 years into the Islamic revolution, the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ruhollah Khomeini, issued a religious decree, known as the “death decree” to execute all political prisoners, most of whom were members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran. He decreed that “as the treacherous Monafeqin [Mojahedin] do not believe in Islam and what they say is out of deception and hypocrisy… it is decreed that those who are in prisons throughout the country and remain steadfast in their support for the Monafeqin [Mojahedin], are waging war on God and are condemned to execution”....
