Maryam Rajavi's Message to the Iranian Laborers on International Labor Day
Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the Iranian opposition and the head of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, the umbrella organization and the legitimate alternative to the clerical regime ruling Iran congratulated Iranian workers on the occasion of the International Labor Day.
In a message to the Iranian workers, she said the basis for achieving the violated rights of Iranian workers’ rests in the struggle against the entire anti-labor regime ruling Iran.
she said: The progress of the organized resistance and the accelerating trend of domestic and international developments have brightened the prospects of the regime's downfall and the subsequent triumph of the Iranian people.

Iran: Tunnel Explosion North of Tehran Leaves at Least Three Dead
At 9 am Tuesday morning local time, a large explosion took place in a tunnel on the Tehran-North expressway, near a town called Siah Bisheh. This area is located north of the Iranian capital and initial reports indicate 11 workers were trapped inside due to the explosion.
Based on the latest reports this incident, unfortunately, took the lives of three workers and the remaining eight have suffered severe burns.

U.S. Special Envoy to Brief Security Council on Iran Policy
The U.S. special representative for Iran is traveling to the United Nations to update permanent members of the Security Council on U.S. policy toward Iran, as Washington looks to step up pressure on Tehran.
The U.S. State Department said in a statement that Brian Hook would be in New York on April 30 and May 1 for the meetings.
the statement said: “He will underscore the importance of holding Iran accountable for its defiance of UN Security Council resolutions on the development and testing of ballistic missiles,”.
It said he will also reiterate the need to fully implement all relevant UN Security Council resolutions related to Iran, “including the enforcement of the Council’s legally binding travel restrictions and arms embargoes.”

France Seeks to Extradite Iranian Engineer to US for Sanctions Violations
French prosecutors on Tuesday urged an appeals court to approve the extradition of an Iranian engineer to the United States after his arrest for violating American sanctions against the Iranian regime, AFP reported.
According to court officials, two US judges for the District of Columbia suspect Rohollahnejad was involved in a bid to export sensitive industrial equipment to Iran.

20% Tehran Public Transport Hike as Iranians Struggle With Economic Crisis
The price of tickets for public transportation in Tehran increased by 20%.
The CEO of the Metro Operation Company told the state-run ISNA News Agency on Monday, that the price increase of the Tehran Metro was implemented following a directive by the Tehran City Council. 
According to ISNA, the price increase was carried out without a prior official public announcement.

Price of Bread Jumps Threefold in Iran
The state-run Iranian Students News Agency ISNA reported an unusual rise in the price of bread in Iran on Tuesday April 30.
Officially, the price of the two main popular types of traditional bread in Iran is 6500 rials for a loaf of Barbari and 8000 rials for a stone-baked Sangak bread. That is around 50-60 cents.
According to ISNA these breads have been selling for 20,000 rials each (about $1.50) in recent days, roughly three times the usual price.
The ISNA report, says the inspection authorities in Iran have been ignoring the price rise for reasons that are yet unknown.
According to the latest official report, food prices have increased 85 percent compared to last year.

  Ashraf 3 - Albania THE MEK AT ASHRAF 3 INU - Back in 2013, the small nation of Albania began to take in the first Iranian dissidents from the People's Mojahedin of Iran ( PMOI/MEK ) and offer them refuge after the years of hell they had endured in Camp Ashraf and Camp Liberty inside Iraq. After a three-year-long transfer process, some 3,000 MEK members are safely housed in special accommodation in Tirana, provided by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees. This greatly angered the Iranian Regime, who had spent years trying to assassinate the MEK in Iran and in Iraq, where they were supposed to be protected. Now the MEK, the democratic opposition to the Regime would be able to largely live in peace and safety, which would only allow them to focus more energy on bringing freedom and democracy to the Iranian People. Soon enough, the time came for the MEK to move out of the accommodation arranged by the UNHCR and into their own space...
