Anti-Regime Protest Against the Killing of a Young Man
A number of residents of the impoverished city of Zahedan
attacked and clashed with brutal plainclothes agents of the Iranian regime on
Saturday for killing a young Baluchi man.
The repressive agents called for backup and fired shots in
the air trying to disperse the crowd, fearing that the protest could draw more
protesters and turn into larger unrest.
The angry crowd attacked vehicles belonging to the state
security forces, throwing rocks at them to evade arrest.
Earlier, the repressive forces shot at a young Baluchi man
called Mousa Shah-Bakhash for not having a driver’s license and ignoring a stop
sign. The bullet pierced the young man’s chest resulting in his death.
Iran-Supplied Missiles to Houthis Pose Threat to the Region
The ballistic missiles owned by the Houthis continue to pose
a threat to the region and point to the Iranian regime’s support to militias
and terrorist groups, an Arab Coalition spokesman said.
Colonel Turki al-Maliki said that the Coalition has
documented information related to the supply of missiles by the Iranian
Revolutionary Guards to Houthi militias in Yemen.
US National Security Adviser to Visit UAE This Week
US National Security Adviser John Bolton will this week
travel to the United Arab Emirates for talks, the US embassy in Abu Dhabi said
Monday.
Bolton’s planned meeting comes as the UAE, Saudi Arabia and
the US have had rising tensions with Iran.
Regional tensions have spiked since the US re-imposed
sanctions against the Iranian regime.
Tensions Grow Between Russia and Iran in Syria
Russian military police last week reportedly carried out a
raid against Iranian-backed militiamen stationed at Syria's Aleppo
international airport, local media reported.
In the aftermath, several Iranian militia leaders were
arrested in what was seen as the latest episode of tensions between Iranian and
Russian forces in Syria.
Since the beginning of Syria's civil war in 2011, Russia and
Iran’s regime have built a military presence in the country in support of
forces loyal to Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.
Iran Regime Tests Scud Missile From 'Secret' Underground
Facility
The Iranian regime has tested its Qiam-1 missile in a
‘secret’ underground facility in an undisclosed location inside the Persian
Gulf nation, reports say.
The Qiam-1 was modeled after the North Korean Scud missile,
Hwasong-6; it entered Iranian military service in 2010.
This move by the Iranian regime’s military comes just weeks
after the U.S. administration accused Tehran of preparing to launch an attack
on American forces in the Middle East.
German Trade With Iran Down Nearly 50 Percent Since U.S.
Sanctions
Germany’s trade with the Iranian regime has suffered a sharp
fall in the year since the US pulled out of the 2015 international nuclear
deal.
Out of the 120 German companies that were operating in Iran
this time last year, only 60 remain active in the country, according to the
Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
The organization’s head of foreign trade said trade was down
50 percent, at nearly €340 million for the first quarter compared to the same
period in 2018.
